Remote - Occasional travel to customer site

3-months initially

We are looking for a Security Software Consultant with a broad skill set and experience in various aspects of software development, testing, cloud-based architecture, process automation, and regulatory compliance within industries such as health, insurance, or banking. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing secure software development lifecycles, managing complex projects, and integrating security measures into development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing a secure software development lifecycle, managing the entire software development and testing life cycles.
  • Assessing existing development activities, identifying risks, and establishing risk management processes.
  • Designing, developing, and deploying applications in cloud environments, with an understanding of cloud computing principles and services.
  • Automating processes to streamline development activities and improve efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS, and familiarity with standards like ISO 27001 and ISO 9001.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in implementing a secure software development lifecycle.
  • Expertise in SDLC and STLC methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing principles, architectures, and services (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience in process automation to streamline development activities.
  • Background working in regulated industries (health, insurance, or banking) with knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 9001, including certification processes and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications relevant to SDLC/STLC methodologies, cloud platforms, process automation, and security (eg, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Foundation).
  • Experience in tool evaluation and implementation for application security.
